Why We Started The Cleaning Cat

The story

We started with a simple frustration that anyone who has hired a cleaner in Edmonton will recognize. You call three companies, two never call back, and the one that does wants to schedule an in home estimate a week out before naming a price. Then the cleaner shows up whenever, the price shifts, and you never quite know what you paid for.

So we built the opposite. Prices you can see before you commit, an online booking that takes about a minute, background checked pros who arrive in the window we promised, and a written checklist so the standard is the same on a Monday in January as it is on a Friday in July. No estimator sitting in your kitchen, no cash on the counter, no guessing.

Everything we do is local. Our cleaners live in Edmonton, St. Albert and Sherwood Park, they know the neighbourhoods, and when you call the phone number on this site you get someone in this city rather than a call centre in another province.

Why a cat?

Cats are famously particular. They notice the one thing out of place, they groom until it is right, and they are not impressed by "close enough". That is the standard we hold our crews to, and it is why our mascot carries a mop.

The friendly part matters too. A cleaner is someone you let into your home, often when you are not there. Our pros are people you would happily hand a key to: polite, respectful of your space, and honest if something goes wrong.
